Pearl Perch are a deep bodied fish with large eyes. They are generally a silver colour with golden brown spots on their scales. They can grow to about 8 kilos.
How To Catch:
Pearl Perch are generally targeted with bait on coastal reef systems with bait. Baits can include squid, pilchards or generally any type of fresh fish bait.
Generally caught at dusk or dawn and after dark.
Found in Southern Queensland and Northern New South Wales in coastal reefs. I have caught them in as little as 10 meters of water but generally found in 30-50 meters of water. Often found around wire weed.
