How To Identify:
Very similar to the Great Barracuda however slightly smaller, however does not have the white tips that the Great Barracuda has. Grows to a maximum of about 7kgs and about 1.65m
How To Catch:
They will take most types of lures and usually caught when chasing other species such as mackerel, or other game species. Will take pretty much any type of flesh bait as well. Handle with extreme care. A definite destroyer of lures.
Found in tropical waters around Australia. The love reef edges where they chase baitfish and cruise along drop offs. Juveniles can be found up tropical estuaries
